Land Rover / Range Rover RFA KVM Unlock & Renew Service — 2018+

Need to unlock or renew a Land Rover / Range Rover RFA or KVM module?

ECU Medics provides a mail-in RFA/KVM Unlock & Renew service for applicable 2018+ JLR vehicles.

This service is intended for modules that need to be unlocked, renewed, reset or prepared for programming after a vehicle key programming procedure, module replacement, or other immobilizer-related work.

What This Service Is For

This service may be appropriate when:

• A KVM/RFA module is locked or protected
• A used replacement module needs to be renewed
• A module needs to be prepared for key programming
• Previous key programming attempts have left the module in an unusable state
• You are replacing a KVM/RFA module
• You need a module unlocked before further programming or matching

The exact procedure depends on the vehicle, module version and part number.

Supported Vehicles

Applicable 2018+ Land Rover and Range Rover vehicles may include:

• Range Rover Sport
• Range Rover Evoque
• Range Rover Velar
• Land Rover Discovery Sport
• Land Rover Discovery 5
• Other compatible JLR vehicles

Compatibility must be confirmed by module and vehicle information.

If you are unsure, send us the VIN and a photo of the module label before ordering.

Mail-In Service

You will need to remove the applicable RFA or KVM module from the vehicle and ship it to ECU Medics.

Once received, we will perform the applicable unlock / renew procedure and return the module to you.

• Description of the problem or programming procedure being performed

If you have already attempted programming or module replacement, please tell us exactly what was attempted and what happened afterward.

Important

Unlock / Renew is not the same as complete key programming.

If the module has a hardware, communication, power or data-related fault, an unlock/renew procedure may not repair the underlying problem. In that situation, our RFA/KVM Repair or Diagnostic Service may be required.
