BMW USED Transmission Mechatronics EGS TCU Reset Programming – Remote Service

If you have replaced a BMW transmission or mechatronics unit on 2012 or newer it is very likely that you might encounter a problem where the Transmission will not go into Drive or Reverse. This is due to BMW Electronic Drive Away Protection (EWS) system which prevents the transmission from going into gear if the VIN and security codes are not recognized. This helps prevent theft.

Most BMW vehicles come with EWS security on their Transmission Mechatronics (such as ZF 8HP) since approximately 2012. Some of the older Models with 6HP ZF Transmission EWS would be X5/X6 (E70/E71) and 7-Series (E65/E66).

There are many Mechatronics Reset services available on the internet and many expert shops can perform this service as well but this option requires sending the unit out along with the donor for reset and programming transferring.

With our service we take away this hassle by reset and programming the donor unit while it is installed in the vehicle and sitting in the comfort of your shop or home while our expert technicians diagnose and VIN program your transmission.
