BMW USED Transmission Mechatronics EGS TCU Reset Programming – Remote Service

If you have replaced a BMW Transmission or mechatronics unit on 2012 or newer you may encounter a problem where the Transmission will not go into Drive or Reverse. This is due to BMW Electronic Drive Away Protection (EWS) system which prevents the transmission from going into gear if there is a VIN mismatch.

BMW vehicles 2012 and newer typically come with EWS (drive-away protection) enabled Transmission Mechatronics (such as ZF 8HP). Older E series models such as X5/X6 (E70/E71) and 7-Series (E65/E66/F01/F02) may come with 6HP ZF Transmissions.

There are many Mechatronics Reset services available on the internet and many expert shops can perform mail-in service but this requires removing and sending the mechatronics unit. Alternatively we offer a remote reset service where no disassembly is required and vehicle will be ready to drive the same day.

With our service we take away the hassle and risk of changing over the old mechatronics unit by resetting and programming the donor unit while it is installed in the vehicle without any disassembly required while our experts diagnose and VIN program your transmission.
